Musica Divina
Between September 17 and October 4, 2026, composer Noah Senden steps into the spotlight as the very first Festival Composer of Musica Divina. Inspired by his residency at the Abbey of Averbode, he brings a fresh artistic voice to this special edition of the festival.
The 14th edition of Musica Divina takes place in the heart of the Kempen region under the motto “Moments of Truth”. Festival van Vlaanderen Kempen presents celestial and healing music within the region’s rich religious heritage sites, offering audiences an immersive and contemplative festival experience.
Wapper
When night falls, Wapper appears: a mischievous shape-shifting trickster who haunts the streets and stirs up playful chaos. In this new production, composer Noah Senden brings the folkloric figure to life in vivid, image-rich music, performed by three musicians from Casco Phil. The story is powerfully carried by acclaimed actress Clara Cleymans, who guides the audience through this haunting and playful tale.
The performance will be presented in autumn 2026. A musical journey full of tension, humour and wonder, for children aged 8 and up, and anyone who still believes in a touch of mischief after dark.
